After growing up in South Wales, I qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2003.

I immediately entered small animal practice and spent the next two years working at a large Veterinary Hospital in Buckinghamshire. I then moved back to London where I continued in small animal practice for the next five years at a very busy surgery in the South East.

In 2010 and with a very young family in tow we relocated to our current home in Somerset, where I started work at Newton Clarke Vets. In 2013 I became a partner in the practice with Mark and Tracey. I was initially running our very small Surgery on Wyndham Hill then oversaw our relocation to our new and current premises on Preston Road.

I now split my time between clinical work at both Yeovil and Sherborne alongside running and developing our ever growing practice and team. I have continued to develop my skills in ultrasonography over the years and now carry out cardiac assessments in both cats and dogs, including screening for pre-clinical heart diseases.

Outside of work, I’m still trying to stay fit at forty-something and enjoy nothing more than a days walk on the Southwest coastal path (or a weekend in the mountains, if time allows!) with my wife, Pippa and our two children Amber and Bryn. We have two young cats called Mike and Sully who certainly keep us busy, and life entertaining.
