Antonia Leech

Antonia always wanted to be a vet, and fulfilled this lifelong dream when she graduated with a First Class Honours degree from the University of Surrey in 2021. Growing up in Buckinghamshire, Antonia decided to make the move down to the South West to pursue mixed animal vetting. After 2.5 years in mixed practice, she made the move to Newton Clarke in April 2024 and has loved it here! In between jobs, she spent some time volunteering at a veterinary hospital in the Caribbean – this was a real eye-opener! It also made Antonia more grateful to work in a practice that delivers such a high standard of care; there’s nothing better than being so proud to come to work every day.

In her spare time, Antonia enjoys showing her Basset Fauve De Bretagnes and has even successfully represented the U.K. internationally. When she’s not travelling around the country doing shows, you’ll catch her walking her dogs in the countryside trying to find a good pub or a place to paddle board (with them on it!). Unfortunately, her cat Dottie isn’t as keen.
