Veterinary Surgeon (maternity cover with a view to becoming permanent)

We are small animal veterinary surgeons and have two branches 5 miles apart. We have a spacious, recently converted surgery in Yeovil and a new, recently opened purpose-built surgery in the beautiful market town of Sherborne.

We are looking for an experienced vet to initially cover maternity leave but ultimately to grow our team.

Full-time employment consists of:

  • A 4-day week with a designated day off, plus 1 in 10 Saturdays (9am-2pm) and Sundays (9am-12pm).
  • There is no out-of-hours with this role, we outsource our OOH to a designated 24hr provider.
  • We encourage CPD and offer a generous budget – we currently have 3 vets with certificates in multiple disciplines and a further 3 enrolled on certificates.
  • Our financial package includes a salary of £45-65k dependent on experience with a holiday allowance of 28 days annual leave. We also offer full Private Medical Insurance and a BHSF Cash Plan Scheme to all of our team.
